Prepares the `@angular-devkit/build-webpack` package for the eventual change of enabling the TypeScript `useUnknownInCatchVariables` option. This option provides additional code safety by ensuring that the catch clause variable is the proper type before attempting to access its properties. Similar changes will be needed in the other packages in the repository prior to enabling `useUnknownInCatchVariables`.
Webpack Builder for Architect
This package allows you to run Webpack and Webpack Dev Server using Architect.
To use it on your Angular CLI app, follow these steps:
- run
npm install @angular-devkit/build-webpack. - create a webpack configuration.
- add the following targets inside
angular.json.

"build-webpack": {
"builder": "@angular-devkit/build-webpack:webpack",

- run
ng run app:build-webpackto build, andng run app:serve-webpackto serve.
All options, including watch and stats, are looked up inside the webpack configuration.
